So, please take the time to read through these questions and, if you still have something on your mind that we have not answered here, feel free to post it within the 'Questions/Concerns' section which has also been set up.

Q: What is the Temple of ATLAS?
The Temple of Atlas is a Force-attuned Temple based in Sithism.
It has an educational purpose as a Force-Institute (teaching the path of the Dark Side) and also functions as a place of religious worship (As Sithism can be used in terms of both lifestyle and religion). Here we train Force-sensitives and help them figure out who they want to be and how to obtain that level of power that they desire.
This is a place of action, empowerment, and passion. It is not to be taken jokingly.
Here at Atlas we have curriculum in place to make you into a Sith if that is what you truly desire.

Q: What is Sithism?
Sithism is the Dark-Side aspect of Force-Realism (the belief that The Force exists as the voice of the universe, it is everything and all, and it is the thread that binds everything together). Sithism may be the 'Dark-Side' but that does not mean that Sithism is evil. Oftentimes it is considered the more 'selfish' aspect of The Force because it focuses on self-betterment rather than helping and benefiting others. It focuses solely on yourself as a person rather than on the whole planet or a population of people, or solving world problems. It is considered the more physically-active sense of The Force, the more "masculine" aspect, as well as the more "logical and realistic" aspect of The Force.
Taking this as a religion and lifestyle is no simple task. Sith follow their code and apply it to their every day life. In no way is the Sith Code to be forgotten, changed, or shortened to fit your 'personal' needs. When you are Sith it is your way, it is your blood.
Sith strive for mastery in all things...to conquer their personal demons as well as conquering in other aspects. It will take physical, mental, and spiritual dedication as you work through a curriculum based in physical skill, in magickal/psychic ability, as well as other classes meant to make you into a warrior and unstoppable force.

Q: Force-Realism?
Force-Realism is fiction made into reality. Taking what we know from the Star Wars universe, a religion and lifestyle was created in the form of Force-Realism. The Light-sided aspect of Force-Realism is Jediism or Jedi-Realism. Here at Atlas, we study in the Dark-Aspect of The Force and label ourselves as Sith.
There are middle grounds to Force-Realism as well, often called Light Sith, Shadow Jedi. or the Je'daii which study both aspects of the Force to get a more 'balanced' sense of things.

Q: What can I expect to learn here?
As mentioned above, here at Atlas, you are Sith and you will work through a curriculum based in physical skill, in magickal/psychic ability, as well as other classes meant to make you into a warrior and unstoppable force. This includes classes on meditation, physical exercises, drills, and etc. We are working on getting survival instructors as well as some other people. You will work with Yoga, and some martial arts. We want to eventually encooperate sword art as well. Because you are Sith you will also get a deeper look into Sith spirituality, analyze the Sith code and Sith philosophy. Possibilities are endless here as we will also have libraries outside of the curriculum in which people can add to for extra learning.
Q: Is this serious?
Strangely enough, we get asked this a lot.
Yes...Sithism is serious, it is a serious religion, lifestyle, and practice.
This is not some grand-role-play and is is no way a place to sit around and talk about your characters on video-games like SWtoR. This is a real-dedicated-temple for education and empowerment, and is to be treated as thus. Anyone caught making a mockery of this place will get warned and will eventually get banned.

Q: How do I join?
Once you register to freeboards (using the Sign up link above) you are automatically a member of the site. This will open up new forums for you, and you will then be placed in a group and given the title of "Minion" until you start the curriculum and have moved on to be Acolyte level 1 --- from that point on, every level of training completed will give you a new rank and new threads will be available for your viewing. If you wish to stay a Minion, this is also fine, although, you will still be limited on what you can see and do.
Q: What tools will I need as a member?
If you are serious about taking part in the curriculum here at Atlas, we ask that you have a good internet connection as well as Skype. We prefer that you have the ability to speak (meaning a microphone) though it is not necessary.
We do this because at the end of each level of training, there is a trial. This trial is to be conducted by a Lord or the Empress of the site and it will require a live interview as the Trials are both written and Oral. We ask also that dedicated members have a way of recording and submitting videos. This is also for the purpose of trials and some physical classes will require proof of their completion.
But, for those merely joining to look around and engage in discussion, the only thing necessary is that you bring with you your mind.

Q: What do I need to do in order to access (blank) training?
When you first join you are a Minion and will have access to the Introductory Course. After you complete that, then your rank goes up (your title changes) and you will find that more training will be available to you. Certain threads or only visible to certain ranks. So, if you want the more advanced training, you must finish the smaller courses first.
Q: What are the ranks and how do I achieve them?
Ranks are achieved by completing the different courses scattered throughout Atlas. Some titles can only be achieved when you are taken on as an apprentice and etc. The ranks are as follows:
Minion: someone who has just joined the site and has not started or is currently working on the Introductory course.
Acolyte 1: Has finished the intro course and is working on level 1 training.
Acolyte 2: Has finished level 1 and is working on level 2 training.
Acolyte 3: Has finished level 2 and is working on level 3 training.
Apprentice: Has finished level 3 and has been taken in by a Master.
Sith Warrior: Has finished level 3, is more of a physical Aspect, and has no Master.
Sith Sorceror: Has finished level 3, is more of a magickal Aspect, and has no Master.
Dark Knight: Has finished all the Sith trials and does not wish to become a Master.
Master: Has finished all the Sith trials and wishes to teach others.
Lord: A special title for those who help the order.
High Lord: A special title for those who have helped the order.
Darth: Highest ranking for those loyal and dedicated to the order, showing Mastery in all areas, and etc.
Council: Someone on the Sith Council and part of the Staff for Atlas.
Empress: A title/rank only reserved for the ruler of Atlas.
Higher titles such as Lord and up are still being defined. How to obtain them is still under construction, and therefore, getting them cannot be laid out. It is up to the Empress and vote of the Council who deserves the higher titles for their service and dedication to the Sith Code, to the Empress, and to Atlas.
Also, new titles or revised titles are happening all the time which means this list will come to change.

Q: How do you get custom titles?
We currently do not use custom title for any reason...but this may come to change.
Q: On (blank)'s site I am (blank) rank...
Here at Atlas you start from scratch, no matter what your title was elsewhere. We do this for many reasons and this is typical on any Force-Realism site that you will come to join. There are of course special exemptions to this rule, but they only occur when a large number of members are in agreement that someone's previous title is fitting enough for them to be crowned as such here. This requires word from the Empress and vote of the Council.
Q: Why can I only see a couple of threads?
What you can see depends on whether or not you are a member of the site, and then it depends on your rank as well. The lower your rank, the less you can see. More threads will open up as you progress.
Q: I am looking for a Master.
Here at Atlas you cannot beg for a Master. Masters choose their apprentices by reading through the student's Holocron and determining if they are worthy or not to be taught. Therefore, only students who are Acolyte 3 or higher may become an Apprentice to someone unless the Empress gives the okay and it gets the Council's vote.
Q: I come from another religious background but I am still interested in Sithism.
The great thing about Force-Realism is that it can easily be fit into other belief-systems, just know that while you are here, you are Sith.
Q: I am a Jedi.
Those looking to become a balanced-aspect are welcome here. However, if you are here trying to drive people away from the Dark Side, we will point and laugh at you. Your holy mission will be in vein here.
Q: Can you promise me that I will walk away with (blank)?
Atlas promises nothing.
Your dedication and what you research and work on will determine what you walk away with.
Your dedication and what you research and work on will determine what you walk away with.
Q: This site is pretty empty.
That is because this site is currently under construction.
